JOB DESCRIPTION

Drake International is seeking an experienced Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, or Nurse with mental health experience to work at a Federal Government department to improve the lives and wellbeing of current and former serving Veterans and their families.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team & provide a service to the community.

Our client is currently seeking applications from experienced Counsellors for a 12-month assignment with a possibility of an extension based in Albury.
You will see yourself working for a federal government department at an APS6 level which provides quality cost effective mental health care services to eligible clients. This full-time position offers a generous hourly rate and the support of a dynamic team to help reach the desired outcomes for your clients.

Duties may include some or all the following:

* Provide specialist services including assessment and referral, evidence based individual, couple and family counselling, and case management to eligible Open Arms clients in order to achieve outcomes
* Investigate, analyse, and assess complex and sensitive medical information to make recommendations
* Ensure compliance with policy and relevant service provision guidelines
* Collaborate with stakeholders to improve the quality, consistency, and accuracy of professional opinion
* Maintain clinical records, collate, and analyse data, prepare reports, and programme documentation, conduct research and analysis activities
* Review, assess and resolve customer issues and queries and escalate where appropriate
* Participate and contribute to learning and development activities, community meetings, conferences, and other forums
* Develop and implement improvements and best practice in processes and procedures, exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines

The professional disciplines are: Qualification as a registered
* Psychologists – AHRPA registered
* Registered Nurses – RN’s not Enrolled Nurses
* Medical Practitioners – AHRPA registered
* Mental Health Social Workers – AASW (mental health accreditation)
Require
* Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance.

Offer:
* An attractive hourly rate of $60 – $65 p/h + super
* Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week
* Located in Albury
* Extensive training and ongoing support
* 12-month assignment with a potential of extensions
