Associate Clinical Coordinator (Specialised Interventions) QEC

JOB DESCRIPTION

Formed in 1917, the Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) is Victoria’s largest provider of residential, community and home-based parenting services, for families with children aged from birth until 4 years of age. QEC’s vision is for children to get the best start in life.

QEC employs a skilled, multidisciplinary workforce who work in a child-centered, strengths-based partnership approach, by building genuine and respectful partnerships with parents/carers, in order to work towards achieving improved outcomes for children and their families.

QEC provides a range of programs, varying in duration and intensity and location (residential, home and community) Programs at QEC are research informed, evidence based and individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Clinical Coordinator to join our team in Morwell.  

The Associate Clinical Coordinator will provide support with home visits to families, contributing to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a holistic approach to assessment, intervention and support of children and families.

The Associate Clinical Coordinator will also liaise with case workers to gather information to triage referrals with a view to commencement of the program.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced person in the field of early parenting to join QEC in this unique and rewarding role.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Minimum Diploma level tertiary qualification in community services, welfare/social work, nursing or early childhood education required
  • Experience working with vulnerable families with young children essential
  • Up to date knowledge of family and child health, development, parenting, attachment and understanding of issues that impact upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents/carers to enhance parenting capacity.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding case direction and risk management in consultation with the team
  • Understanding of Government policy, legislation and guidelines (Including Best Interest Framework)
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing reports and analysing data
  • A current drivers license, 
  • up to date Immunisation status, satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check.
