About the role
The Be You Consultant will work under the direction of the Team Lead and State/Territory Manager to deliver and support schools and education systems to implement and embed Be You within their state/territory.
You will support, coach and consult with school communities to plan for a whole school approach to mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention with the goal of improving outcomes for young people and their families.
You will provide considered, evidence-based support for schools to plan for, respond to and recover from a death by suicide or attempt impacting the school community.
You will be responsible for collaborating with and engaging key regional stakeholders in Be You
Who we’re looking for:
headspace is seeking someone who is an experienced, clinically qualified mental health professional with experience working with school aged children and young people and leading mental health and wellbeing work in schools.
You will be confident speaking with school leaders in a coaching/consultative role, as well as facilitating professional learning to adults online and in person.
Someone who holds a tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health discipline including psychology (clinical, counselling, educational, community and 4+2 or 5+1 pathways), mental health nursing, occupational therapy, social work, or counselling and Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body as outlined in the Position Description.
This role at times will require intra state and interstate travel and is offered until 30 June 2023 in line with our funding contract term.
