The Rosewood Centre has an established and highly regarded Behaviour Support team who work across NDIS and Permanency Support programs.
After building our Behaviour Support platform over recent years, our current Behaviour Support Manager is transitioning to retirement. The position entails clinical and operational oversight of established practitioners, maintaining relationships with existing referrers as well as working with Rosewood leaders to grow the Behaviour Support team in line with our strategic plan.
The Rosewood Centre seeks a candidate who is a recognised “specialist” under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework. You will be required to provide guidance and support to the team assessing and supporting complex presentations including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mental health issues, and those with acquired brain injuries. This role is responsible for:
- Working with the Clinical Services Manager and Quality team to develop organisational policy, governance and quality benchmarks relating to quality behaviour support
- Refining relevant systems and processes related to both direct and indirect service delivery
- Working with the Clinical Services Manager to develop, support and nurture a multi-disciplinary team of committed, passionate, skilled and suitably qualified and NDUS accredited professionals capable of high quality behaviour support work
- Developing and undertaking a range of marketing and networking initiatives to build and expand a customer base and visibility within the market
- Establishing relevant and productive partnerships with internal and external individuals, groups and organisations
- Work with the Clinical Services Manager to ensure availability of adequate resources and supports
- Developing a range of additional products and services to further enhance viability of behaviour support and clinical services
- Direct clinical work and the provision of training services in line with business need
- Meeting budget for the Behaviour Support program This position reports to the Manager Counselling & Clinical Services.
Experience/Criteria
- Previous experience as a manager or senior supervisor of a Behaviour Support, Psychology or Counselling service or experience closely aligned to the same
- Proven ability to successfully lead a clinical services team and drive strategic direction
- Demonstrated ability to manage or clinically supervise a diverse team across multiple sites in a way that supports staff and creates a culture that fosters learning, hope and curiosity
- Experience in financial management, reporting processes, and the development of policies and procedures associated with service growth and delivery
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing positive and productive relationships with senior managers, staff, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary legislation, best practice requirements and clinical risk management strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality service delivery
- Demonstrated experience in planning, leading and managing projects, initiatives and research
- Effective problem solving skills with a solution-focused approach
- The ability to create and manage relationships & partnerships with external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Relevant registration as a Psychologist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker or a Mental Health Nurse/Nurse with post graduate qualifications.
- Accredited NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at a senior level
- Current Driver’s License
- WWCC
- Training & Assessment qualification (Desirable)
- Psychology Board Approved Supervisor (Desirable)
