JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners, passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives to join Access4u, a leading South Australian not-for-profit organisation in the disability sector. 

 

Access4u is a rapidly growing not-for-profit organisation providing a range of supports & agreements with aligned service providers.  We provide our clients timely & tailored access, including Community Participation, Support Coordination, Housing Supports, Respite and Psychology amongst others.

The role:

At Access4u, we work closely with clients, their families and support networks, to develop:

  • functional behaviour assessments & behaviour support plans 
  • tailored strategies to assist customers to meet their goal
  • Supports and training to other staff to assist customers improvement of quality of life.

     

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Developmental Education, Psychology, Social work, Occupational Therapy, Disability or Social Sciences.
  • An understanding of the principles & applications of Positive Behaviour Support & the accompanying policies & legislation including Restrictive Practices. 
  • The ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders from the families we work with to a variety of other service providers. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with people within the disability sector will be highly regarded.

  • A NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • A Working with Children Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • A COVID-Vaccination Certificate. 
  • Child Safe Environment Certificate
