Your New Role
The Behaviour Support Practitioner is responsible for ensuring the delivery of tailored, quality and efficient services that support customers to attain their goals. As an efficient Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will actively build relationships by providing and responding to feedback from customers and key support networks. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively across Cara services to build service and organisational capability to support customers to achieve their identified needs and goals.

Skills & Experience
- Ability to product high quality customer progress reports and support plans as required by the NDIA
- Ability to deliver training to individuals, and groups of community support workers in Behavioural De-escalation (e.g. MAPA or equivalent)
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the development, implementation, and review of Positive Behavior Support Plans, strategies and restrictive practices
- Approved Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding commission
- Knowledge of person-centred thinking practice
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or equivalent.
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Current DHS Disability Employment Screening / NDIS Worker Check, DCSI Child Related Employment Clearance and/or Working with Children Check (or willing to acquire)
- Current South Australian Driver’s Licence
- You have the rights to work in Australia
- Sound knowledge and experience in the disability sector
- Demonstrated skills to use in IT systems for documentation
