Your New Role
As a member of the Positive Behaviour Support team, you will be based in the Cairns CBD office, working closely with a highly specialised and dynamic group of professionals. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in disability and mental health, supporting individuals and families through trauma, change, and recovery. Under the guidance of an Advanced Practitioner, you will have the chance to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact in your field. What You Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Education, or a relevant field highly desired. (Alternate pathways may be considered for identified applicants).
  • A genuine interest in mental health and disability, with a focus on areas such as complex trauma.
  • Experience working across different age groups, from children to the elderly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive, trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset and a willingness to learn and develop within the community sector and NDIS market.
  • Flexibility in working with a diverse range of clients, providing individualized support.
  • Relevant checks and clearances, including Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Disability Worker Screening Clearance, and National Police Clearance.
  • A valid Australian Driver’s License.
