Real Therapy Solutions is a supportive multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Behaviour Support Practitioners providing a holistic therapy service across multiple clinics.

A well-established organisation that is currently delivering therapy services to over 1000 clients with rapid expansion through the delivery of therapy services and by continuing to grow our training and support programs.

Your opportunities

Classification:  Behaviour Support Practitioner Intern
Employment Type: Full-Time
Remuneration: starting from $71,500 per annum including superannuation, to be negotiated based on your skills and experience 

Location: Bella Vista

Eligibility to bonuses and salary increases are in addition to the above.

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity that will provide you with all the training and supervision required from people with over 20 years of Behaviour Support experience to become a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Supported by the Behaviour Practitioner Team Leader and Therapy Manager, you will be responsible for providing behaviour support services to both adults and children with disabilities and/or Autism, both in-clinic and via home visits. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Attending regular supervisions and training
  • Conducting behaviour assessments and developing quality individualised written behaviour support plans for NDIS participants
  • working in a collaborative trans-disciplinary team of therapists
  • Implementing strategies and programs to achieve positive outcomes for people with a disability
  • implementing strategies and behaviour plans to see positive outcomes for clients

About you

To be considered for this role, you must be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people living with disabilities. You are highly organised and your commitment to providing quality behaviour support in the sector is crucial. You have a passion to learn and grow in a fun, supportive environment where your contribution is valued.

 

Essential Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social work/ Psychology/ Special Education or a related allied health
  2. You will hold a current NDIS Screener Check or National Police Check and a Working with Children Check or willingness to complete these.
  3. Willingness to learn and a genuine passion for helping people living with disabilities
  4. Current class C NSW drivers’ licence or equivalent and the willingness to use for work purposes.
  5. Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
