About the Role

Are you a proven people leader with qualifications and experience in Psychology, Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis or Social Work? Do you have experience with evidence-based approaches to reducing the impact of challenging behaviours? Then this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability, their families and support staff.

Key duties will include:

  • Establishing, growing and implementing Specialist Behaviour Support across the Frankston area
  • Responsibility for all components of Behaviour Support delivery including mentoring a small team and ensuring Behaviour Support is delivered to NDIS participants in accordance with their NDIS plan
  • Along with being the point of contact for providers (NDIA and the OPG) you will work with the team to meet output targets whilst ensuring best practice and excellent stakeholder relationships
  • Developing partnerships with service providers, community agencies and 
    government bodies to get the best outcome for our participants

What you will bring to the role

  • In depth understanding of good clinical practice, the jurisdictional requirements in VIC and the context in which Behaviour Support is provided including for people subject to restrictive interventions
  • Strong leadership skills in the human services sector including disability, health, family support or another similar service area
  • Commitment to the highest possible quality on providing positive behaviour support and the ability to communicate that to your team
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences
  • Eligibility for professional membership in a field relevant to your qualifications

Additional requirements:

  • Right to Work in Australia i.e., Australian/NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa with permission to work
  • A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker’s Screening Check, or the willingness to gain these clearances if successful
  • A current and valid Driver’s Licence 
  • Willingness to undertake police check
  • To ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers, Community Solutions Group requires all authorised workers as defined under the State Public Health Order to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19
