You will be joining an extremely supportive NFP organisation in St Albans, working to provide Behavioural Support and connect people with outreach practices to help promote client social and economic participation as well as independence within the community. You will help achieve any specific client goals they may have through working with multiple stakeholders, as well as with any family to ensure increased social and economic participation in the community.

About the role
The Behaviour Support Practitioner will provide support with an opportunity to:
- Assist clients to better recovery and autonomy with goal orientated targets within a custom centric model
- Connect with local stakeholders and clinicians to best support and manage clients behaviour and goals
- Provide advocacy and custom services for the client in a client centric recovery model
- Communicate with client’s family and carers to support the client’s recovery with behaviour management strategies.
- Build or rebuild family and community relationships for the client as required.
- Engage and participate in team meetings, case conferences, training and supervision
What we are looking for:
- Current degree of above qualification in Social work, Psych, OT or Speech Pathology
- Good understanding of the NDIS behavioural intervention strategies
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour support capability framework
- Some knowledge of risk management strategies
- Current valid Driver’s licence
- Current WWCC
- Current National Police check
- COVID -19 Vaccination certificate
- Current AHPRA Registration
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
