Behaviour Support Practitioner Occupational Therapy For Children

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role:

The OTFC Group is looking for a BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER to join our team.

  • Work with a varied caseload (children from birth to adulthood) with a high level of in-house support
  • Work alongside a team of 50 incredible staff (Occupational Therapist’s, Allied Health Assistant’s, Family Consultants, Client Service Co-ordinator’s and Exec Staff)
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plan.
  • Write detailed behaviour support reports for OTFC GROUP clients 
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis 
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations 
  • Provide training, support and clinical supervision to Implementing Behaviour Support Practitioners at the OTFC GROUP
  • Use behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program and interventions to manage behaviours within the therapy spaces at the OTFC GROUP
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Adhere to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements
  • Manage all reporting requirements for the OTFC GROUP

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support e.g. Psychology, Occupational Therapy etc
  • Registered with NDIS Commission as a Behaviour support practitioner
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioners’ Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of one year experience demonstrating provision of positive behaviour support services
  • Demonstrated and practical time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
  • Mandatory compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Self-Assessment, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP checks
  • COVID19 Vaccination Digital Certificate, inclusive of mandated booster vaccinations as directed by State Government and NDIS mandates
  • Valid Driver Licence with reliable car
  • Cultural Awareness Training Certificate 
  • First Aid Certification 
  • Safe Environments Compliance Certification
