About the role
Based in Bendigo this position delivers high quality behaviour support services to achieve quality and authentic outcomes for people with complex needs, underpinned by a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
You will have; reasonable KPIs, a Practice Support Office for administration, a positive work environment, internal and external clinical supervision and a small but mighty team!

This is a challenging but rewarding role. This role sets high expectations on effective, evidenced based and person centred service delivery for vulnerable people who sometimes communicate their needs using challenging and complex behaviours. This role has expectations around; evidenced based approaches to assessment and planning, meeting legislative requirements, and a willingness to get directly involved with our participants to hear their voice and collaboratively achieve change.
You will be working closely with your clinical supervisor, your participants and key stakeholders. You will be part of the practitioner hub sharing space with your practitioner colleagues.
Qualifications & experience
- Registration as an NDIS QSC practitioner (any level) – requirement.
- 4 years tertiary study in Disability, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Education – requirement.
- NDIS worker screening, police check, WWCC, drivers license, first aid and CPR – requirement.
- Demonstrated experience working as a positive behaviour support practitioner for minimum 12 months – requirement.
- Demonstrated experience working with people who present with a range of complex behaviours, live with a range of disabilities, disorders and mental health needs – requirement.
- Vaccination status aligns with current state government and work safe recommendations – requirement.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in; person-centred practice, individualised assessment and planning and Positive Behaviour Support as a framework to build a better life and reduce behaviours of concern.
- Demonstrated understanding of NDIS quality and safeguarding requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support) Rules 2018.
- Demonstrated ability to develop quality, individualised and person centred Interim Behaviour Support Plans, Functional Behaviour Assessments, Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Demonstrated outcomes from BSP implementation including key stakeholder collaboration, training, skill building and other important activities.
- Highly effective collaboration and communication skills.
- Proactive self care, health and wellbeing management.
- Office based role with a range of service delivery modes and locations.
- Adherence to organisation policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently, set own priorities, work to targets and respond to a changing environment and meet KPI’s.
- Proficient in PC based applications e.g. Microsoft Office, database applications.
- Accurate record keeping.
