The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Psychologist/ Registered Behavioural Support Practitioner (Proficient onwards) to join our team in a mobile role, working with our current team to provide oversight, guidance and mentorship to embed learning and understanding of PBS principals.

This role is flexible to work within a shared schedule to provide clinical supervision as well as peer & group supervision sessions. 

As a Registered Behavioural Support Practitioner, you will work closely with our Behavioural Therapy team to enhance the PBS clinical expertise of the Behavioural Therapy team.

You will:

  • Mentor Junior Behavioural Therapists
  • Participate in support planning processes for clients to deliver coordinated, effective, service provision that meets the goals of the client’s NDIS plan. 
  • Liaise with relevant persons in client’s environment e.g. family members, carers etc. regarding client needs as appropriate. 
  • Provide staff and carer training required to meet the client’s goals. 
  • Keep up to date records and necessary reports e.g. support plans, assessment reports, intervention summaries. 
  • Developing interim behaviour plans and positive comprehensive behaviour support plans in conjunction with our clinicians, which may contain regulated restrictive practices in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision 
  • Provide approvals and/or recommendations of clinical documentation to ensure 

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Passion for delivering high quality care in the disability space
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Counselling or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences
  • Experience in PBS and RBT/BCBA/BCABA certification highly preferred
  • Knowledge of NDIS requirements
  • Experience with working with Children with ASD
  • Valid police check
  • Valid Australian driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • NDIS worker orientation module
  • NDIS worker screening check
