Behaviour Support Practitioner Sunny Steps Psychology and Supervision

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to do more?  An opportunity to really help people and not be stuck behind a desk all day typing behaviour plans all day?   Do you want to be a part of a team to deliver the best support to children, families and adult participants – and have a role with real career progression and support?

We are looking for someone that has a passion to support people with disabilities live their best lives.  We are not just writing plans, we are completing targeted assessments (such as the Bailey’s Developmental Assessment, Functional living skills assessments, VBMAPP),  identifying goals developing therapeutic plans and then working directly on skill development with the participant and their families.

We are a small but very busy private practice –  This position suits someone who  has  previous sound experience in behaviour support or previous experience supporting children and young people therapeutically.  We are looking for someone that has a real desire to work on implementation and skill development.

It doesn’t matter if you are a BCBA, BCaBA, RBT, Occupational therapist, Teacher, Social Worker, Psychologist or any degree qualified person.   What matters is your passion for this work. This role is about people !  So we are looking for team players, who really are looking for the role where they can develop and implement therapeutic plans to create behavioural change.

To be eligible for the role you must have

  • A degree in a related field
  • A drivers licence, access to your own vehicle and be able to use this for work
  • Have a WWCC, NCC, and NDIS worker screening (or willingness to obtain)
  • Relevant experience in a similar role; demonstrated transferable skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written communication skills

Sunny Steps has some wonderful benefits….

  • The position on offer is 4 or 5 days per week (negotiable) with flexibility
  • A work from home day each week
  • Regular professional development, training and supervision in line with your learning goals, including paid Study leave 3 days per year and a $1500 study program allowance
  • Parental leave availability
  • A supportive workplace, with achievable billable requirements of 5 hours per day.
  • Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Amazing Administration.  You do not have to complete your own service agreements or consents – we do all that for  you. They will even liaise with providers and book appointments for you !

If you have a passion for this work, and want to move away from writing plans that no one reads – to working on skills development and real change – reach out to us.  Resumes will be received in confidence –   E: [email protected]
