JMS Allied Services is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner or a suitably qualified Trainee who is passionate about improving the quality of life and personal wellbeing of our clients and their families.

The Role
Our Behaviour Support Practitioners conduct positive behaviour support work for people living with a disability who experience challenges with behaviour regulation. The candidate will have an excellent understanding of NQSC’s positive behaviour support framework, restrictive practices, advocating for the rights of people with a disability, writing positive behaviour support plans, and evaluating their efficacy via data collection and statistical analysis. Practitioners who have been deemed suitable by the NQSC are encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or other relevant field
- Current drivers license
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one)
- COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (Required doses in accordance with Government Health Advice)
- Considered suitable by the National Disability Insurance Scheme Commission and have a current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Number OR
- Be able to meet the requirements to work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Commission’s Positive Behaviour Support Capability framework.
- Working with Children Check and Police Check clearance.
- Infection Control Training (available free online)
- 100 points of ID.
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
Highly Desirable
- Lived experience
- Post Graduate Degree in relevant field
- AHPRA or MAPS Registration
