Trellis is a boutique specialist behaviour support provider looking for a motivated, skilled, compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team.
Trellis is a multi-disciplinary team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists who have worked in disability and behaviour support for between 15 and 25 years.
Amongst our team are published authors, international presenters, university lecturers, authors of journal articles and sensory processing specialists – all in the field of PBS. We are a group of individuals who have contributed to the sector by providing training of the emerging workforce and stewardship.

Be managed and supervised by people who hold an active caseload in PBS.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with people with disabilities, their families, and care-teams, using evidence-based strategies to develop and implement behaviour support plans that seek to improve the person’s quality of life.

Provisional psychologists are encouraged to apply
For provisional psychologists, we offer individualised support to meet the competencies for general registration. All supervision is provided in house including primary and secondary supervision. We understand what it takes to support individuals effectively through to full registration.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications or experience relevant to positive behaviour support
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and behaviours of concern.
- Ability to develop behaviour support plans that contain evidence-informed strategies and seek to improve the person’s quality of life.
- Ability to support the knowledge, skills, values, confidence, consistency, and wellbeing of people involved in implementing the plan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other essential requirements include:
- Compliance checks including NDIS Worker Screening Check & WWCC
- Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS (or the ability to become registered)
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
