Behaviour Support Practitioner

Position available: Albury/Wodonga (NSW/VIC)

What we need from you:

  • A respectful and person centred attitude towards supporting people with disabilities
  • Knowledge and experience working with a range of intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: Eg Undergraduate studies in Education, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work. Postgraduate studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, Disability Studies, Behavioural Studies
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in working with complex cases
  • A passion for Positive Behaviour Support
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commissions requirements around restrictive practices
  • Ability to form relationships and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, staff, allied health professionals and additional stakeholders

Your time:

  • 15-25 billable hours a week
  • 1 hour of clinical supervision per week
  • Active engagement in staff meetings

Basic requirements

  • Drivers licence, Car, Laptop, Phone, Home office materials
  • ABN + Professional indemnity and liability insurance
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
  • Proda Registration as an eligible worker
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children’s Check

Your remuneration:

  • Specialist Behaviour Support at $100/hr + GST + super
  • Assessment Recommendation Therapy And/or Training at $100/hr + GST + super
