Vivability is a non-government organization based in Bathurst NSW providing services to people with a disability in the community.
About the role:
The successful candidate will join a team aiming to improve the lives of others through delivery of person-centred, positive behaviour support strategies to a range of clients across all ages. The role will involve supporting clients with various needs from short-term support, to complex, long-term support, including:
- Providing positive behaviour support for children and adults with varying complexities, including intellectual disability, mental health, and trauma-based presentations.
- Conducting a range of assessments of a client, their presenting issues, environment, and other factors to guide intervention and support strategies.
- Development and implementation of behaviour support plans, including carer and staff training.
- Providing client support in a range of environments, including school, homes, respite, and community settings.
- Working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.
This role will also require you to provide support and training to Vivability staff in relevant areas.

Knowledge and skills required:
- Qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Behaviour Science, or related discipline.
- Ability to meet the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support capability framework at a core level or above.
- Understanding of NDIS plans and funding models to suitably plan assessments and interventions.
- Previous work experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- High quality reporting and communication skills.
- Current driver’s license.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check.
