This is a unique opportunity to progress your BSP Career working within a supportive multidisciplinary team consisting of Psychologists, Speech pathologists and Occupational Therapists. In this role you will be working with clients and their families and caregivers both in the community setting and in our clinic spaces.

Responsibilities
- Working with clients with a range of presenting needs including complex care, intellectual disabilities, communication difficulties, mental health and behaviours of concern
- Undertaking comprehensive functional behaviour assessments
- Developing individualised, client-centred behaviour support plan recommendations, and working within a multidisciplinary team to implement such recommendations.
- Reviewing and updating comprehensive behaviour support plans
- Training and supporting colleagues, providers and families to implement behaviour support plans and related strategies.
- Promoting provider, family and other caregiver involvement through individual and group caregiver and provider training
- Understanding of restricted practices and the role of the Quality and Safeguards Commission
- Maintain clinical standards of recordkeeping and reviewing of clinical work.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in Positive Behaviour Support and providing behaviour support for children and adults with a range of developmental and/or other disabilities OR capacity to develop skills.
- Demonstrated experience with positive behaviour support practices and conducting functional behaviour assessments OR capacity to develop skills.
- Degree qualified in Allied Health, Counselling, Psychology, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated applied understanding of relevant policy and legislation relating to Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices
- An understanding of working with NDIS funded clients OR willingness to acquire an understanding.
