Due to client growth, we are recruiting in the Hobart area for Behaviour Support Specialists who have experience working with adults in a very flexible role, either part-time or full-time.
About us
At Kameleon Group, we deliver Specialist Behaviour Support services. We utilise proven methods to provide Positive Behaviour Support. Our practice is strongly informed by Trauma-Informed Care, ABA and other proven methods of Behaviour Support.
We are an NDIS-registered provider, and we work throughout QLD, NSW, and TAS. Some of our practitioners specialise, but across the entire organisation, we work with all ages, all diagnoses, and all behaviour.
We utilise an array of technologies to allow you to focus on delivering exceptional services in an efficient way – you probably didn’t get into this field for the admin time, so we work to keep that to a minimum!
About the role:
This is a hybrid working from home and mobile role. You will be based at home (no commute!) and will go out to visit people in their homes, schools, workplaces, programs, and in the community.
Being a behaviour support specialist involves working with people and their support networks to bring about behavioural change. We do this by understanding the relationship between a person’s environment (social and physical) and their behaviour, and then influencing that person’s environment so that it sets them up for success. Another important part of the role is supporting skill development, to ensure people have effective ways to get their needs met.
Our practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), support implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review where necessary. The role involves other elements, too – connecting with other team members, attending training, participating in projects or research, facilitating workshops, and more. We are proud to have a diverse and passionate team, and we support people to lean into their strengths and interests.
