This is a great opportunity to use your Positive Behaviour Support skills to evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space. This role will ensure individual plans reflect NDIS participants’ passions and interests and promotes their quality of life. - Assist individuals and their families to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies to support people in their home and community
- Develop Behaviour Support Plans (Interim & Comprehensive) utilising a positive behaviour support framework with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices
- Work collaboratively within a small, cohesive team environment as well as larger organisation
About You
You are experienced and passionate about delivering PBS, being an advocate and role model for best practice. You will have…
- Completed a degree level qualification as an allied health professional (OT/Speech/Social Work/Psychology)
- MUST have at least 1- 3 years worth of experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Proficient, Advanced or Specialist status as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Registered practitioner with NDIS
- Demonstrated experience working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring team members around developing & delivering positive behaviour support services
