Where you will be based
This position will be based across both Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital, based on departmental needs.

About the role
The bereavement counsellor will provide specialist bereavement counselling, follow-up and support:
- To bereaved known to the SLHD Palliative Care Service
- Where a death has occurred in SLHD or the bereaved reside in the SLHD.
- The position will offer consultation and education to multidisciplinary staff within the LHD as well as to the wider community.
We are looking for someone who…
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience, eligibility for membership to appropriate professional association if required, Psychologist must have with full registration with AHPRA.
- Has experience as a counselling clinician in bereavement, palliative care or end of life contexts and specialist knowledge of bereavement, loss and grief processes.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030)
