Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Knox Grammar School has been at the forefront of Positive Education for the past 12 years. A strong focus on practical evidence-based approach in positive psychology and wellbeing science underpins our School Community and is embedded in our strategic vision.

As Boarding Wellbeing Leader, you will be a key member of the Wellbeing Team at Knox Grammar. 

This part time role is focussed on the design and implementation of a range of innovative programs that support best practice in relation to our boarding student’s wellbeing and covering such areas as:

  • Positive Psychology
  • Counselling and Wellbeing
  • Stress Management
  • Peer Relationships
  • Effective academic and study skills

This position is permanent part-time (term time, plus 1 week). The working hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate; it would include evening work, from 5 pm to 9 pm (to align with when the boarders are present in the boarding houses) totalling between 15 and 20 hours per week.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • Current professional registration in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
  • Experience working with young people as a counsellor. 
  • Knowledge of psychological principles and adolescent development.
  • A working knowledge of Positive Psychology.
  • Ability to participate in a team approach to child and adolescent wellbeing.
