Your Role 

You will lead, develop and sustain effective and productive partnerships with health providers and other referral sources enabling access for consumers to SJGHC NSW Mental Health services, assist with the development of communication material including marketing and contribute to the development and implementation of the Partnership and Engagement Plan.

The Position

  • Support the Director of Strategy & Engagement to generate opportunities for the Hospitals to meet operational and financial objectives through targeted business development activities.
  • Work closely with the SJG NSW Mental Health Strategy & Engagement team on the strategic and tactical business development processes and targets.
  • Engagement with consumers, carers and other key stakeholders to ensure business development activities are designed to meet relevant consumer needs.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with health services, health practitioners and other referral sources to drive consumer access to NSW Mental Health services.
  • Identify and assist to remove barriers to consumers accessing to NSW Mental Health services.
  • Engage with health providers and other referrers seeking information about NSW Mental Health services.
  • Lead the implementation of Education Programs, including all event management requirements.
  • A current driver’s licence and the willingness to travel to health services within the Sydney metropolitan region is essential.

You will have knowledge of contemporary systems in mental health care, including health care service expectations of health networks and consumers, along with high-level interpersonal skills. In addition, you will build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, have well developed negotiation skills and the confidence to support and deliver results across all areas of the function.
