CCLHD are seeking a Family Recovery Worker to bring their clinical expertise to providing excellent patient care to families of the Central Coast. 

 

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

 

The Family Recovery Worker provides mental health prevention; parenting and Family Focused Recovery interventions across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

 

The successful candidate will provides clinical consultation and liaison to services regarding issues for children in families affected by mental illness alongside building the capacity of services to provide appropriate family focused responses and interventions for families

The Family Recover Worker provides evidence-based interventions and programs to parents with a mental illness, with a focus on early intervention and family and carer support.

This role is suitable for the following:

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2
  • Social Worker Level 3
  • Occupational Therapist Level 3
  • Senior Psychologist
  • Welfare Off Level 3
  • Counsellor Level 3

 

Education and Experience

  • You will bring qualifications in a mental health-related discipline.
  • You will possess AHPRA registration if qualified as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist and you must possess with three years post registration experience in mental health.
  • As a Social Worker you must be eligible for membership of AASW or possess a bachelor’s degree in Counselling or Community Welfare with three years post graduate experience in mental health.

 

About You

  • You possess demonstrated experience working with children and families or carers, and familiarity with contemporary mental health service delivery models, including crisis intervention and family intervention.
  •  You have demonstrated experience in psychological interventions in community mental health including knowledge of psychopharmacological treatments, side effects and family interventions.
  •  You have experience taking a lead role in quality improvement including documenting the process, report writing and evaluation of activities/initiatives.
