Career Counsellors – Multiple positions
The Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE) is seeking to appoint professional Career Counsellors as part of the Career Education Association of Victoria’s (CEAV) Jobs Victoria Career Counsellors Service. These roles will involve face-to-face and online counselling as required. Positions are available in remote and regional Victoria, and metropolitan Melbourne.
The role:
Career Counsellors engage in face-to-face and online counselling with clients across Victoria. You will be required to deliver professional career counselling services to career changers, graduates, career decision makers, unemployed and underemployed Victorians referred to the service from within the Jobs Victoria network or externally.
Hours and location:
Career Counsellors service delivery is across metropolitan and regional areas for face-to-face clients, with working in community locations required. Ability to work from home as well as face to face in our Offices in Greensborough. If you are regional, then working from home virtually and in community face to face would be the requirement, with the option to attend our office for occasional meetings as needed.
Rostered shifts for service operating times between 9am-8pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday (based on service demand).
Full-time (desired) and part-time roles available.
Contract End Date: 30 June 2023
Position Accountabilities:
• Deliver up to 6 professional career counselling services each day to career changers, graduates, career decision makers, unemployed and
underemployed Victorians referred to the service from within the Jobs Victoria network or externally.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
in a dedicated region.
• Utilise the agreed CEAV JVCCS tools, software and resources to conduct professional careers counselling services.
• Undertake a range of reporting functions including qualitative feedback collection and collation to support the quantitative data received from online feedback satisfaction surveys as well as broader programmatic reporting in relation to service delivery and outcomes.
• Attend regular training and meetings for continuous improvement and capacity building purposes.
• Maintain CPD for professional recognition by CICA
Selection Criteria:
1. Excellent career counselling service record across a wide range of jobseeker cohorts and age groups.
2. Ability to work with people from specialist cohorts for example, clients with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds.
3. Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
4. Highly proficient in the use of software packages including Microsoft Office and client/customer databases.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Graduate Certificate in Career Development or higher and hold Professional membership of the ACCE or another CICA Member Association.
