About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists to join Leibler Yavneh College Secondary Staff part-time, commencing January 2023. As our Careers Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in the career guidance and choices of our students.
The Careers Advisor is responsible for planning and implementing a robust Career Education program & activities for students in Years 7 to 12. There will be a strong focus on ensuring students and their parents are well equipped to make important decisions relating to further training, education and employment options. This program will need to adhere to the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) Profession Standards of Australian Career Development
To Be Successful You Will:
- Have (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children’s Check or VIT Registration.
- Possess up to date knowledge of University selection procedure and the range of tertiary option available to students as well as other post-secondary options
- Demonstrate the ability to counsel and advise students on employment matters
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
- Possess qualifications in Careers Education or other relevant qualifications
- Comply with administrative and organisational requirements including the management of financial resources
- Model and live the Leibler Yavneh College values and ethos
