Our team provides a range youth services, including housing and homelessness, youth justice responses, training and general supports to assist young people to address challenges in their lives and make positive change through a mix of practical and therapeutic interventions and the creation of opportunities for positive social participation and diversionary/activity-based youth support through client led case management.
About the opportunity:
Inspire Youth and Family Service (IYS) is working in partnership with highly regarded, established local organisations, Youth Justice and detention centres to provide Southwest Advocacy Pathway (SWAP) Support Service in Ipswich, Inala and surrounds. The program supports young people aged 10 – 17 years who are involved in the youth justice system and at very high risk of being remanded into custody.
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Case Manager to provide a high standard of client led case management with vulnerable, at-risk young people. The Case Worker will work with young people to identify their needs and develop a plan to deliver targeted and goal-driven supports that focus on the individual young person’s needs and aspirations. Success will see an increase in the number of young people receiving bail rather than remand, address the risk factors that lead to non-compliance and increase the number of young people completing bail, and support young people to enhance their self-belief and hopefulness.
Our Case Manager’s will undertake a range of record and information management tasks including completion of case notes, preparation of reports, performance reporting and data entry to ensure casework and accountability.
The successful applicant will support the organisation’s strategic objectives to increase the range of programs and services offered to young people, continue to evolve practice, and increase young people’s participation in the development of such initiatives.
