  • Hours 30.4 to 38 per week 
  • Salary:$36.84 per hr + Super + Salary Packaging

Your Opportunity

The Bega Valley Homelessness Support Service, NSW helps adults and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service includes a 4 bedroom crisis accommodation facility for women with or without children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to family and domestic violence, as well as tailored support, advocacy and outreach is provided.

If you are an experienced Case Manager, come and work with our amazing team in Bega who are making a real difference in people’s lives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Respond to referrals and conduct assessments as required
  • Provide intensive strength based case management
  • Work with families, women and men in crisis situations
  • Manage complex caseloads and refer families to services in the local area
  • Build  strong relationships with your clients to ensure they have all the support to achieve their goals
  • Build  and managing relationships with key stakeholders of the business and programs
  • Empowering and supporting your clients to become independent
  • Ensuring you uphold all of Mission Australia’s values

Requirements for Success

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services/Social Services (or higher) and/or relevant industry experience
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • Great communication skills both written and spoken
  • Experience working with families in crisis situations
  • Knowledge of local area social services
  • Passion for working with the vulnerable and those in need

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
