Case Manager (Children, Youth and Families) Southern Cross Support Services

About this opportunity:

Our partner Children, Youth & Family Services (CYF) is a leading Child Safety provider throughout QLD. CYF team members play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people are offered a safe and stable environment to reach their goals. The Case Manager leads and influences their team in providing high quality care to children, young people and families.

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • Ensure that the needs of children and young people are met through the development, implementation, and review of individual plans
  • Maintain an understanding of the principles of Child Protection and work collaboratively with other government and non-government agencies
  • Create a team culture of support and respect
  • Support residential care workers under your management in their roles by providing supervision, debriefing and regular contact
  • Undertake necessary administrative reporting and tasks as required
  • Attend and participate in regular supervision, team meetings, stakeholder meetings, and inter-agency meetings
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new residential care workers
  • Complete direct care shifts as needed

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • An understanding of complex care issues for children and young people
  • An understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people in care
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and complaints
  • Strong management experience and a natural aptitude for leadership
  • Hold or be enrolled in and working towards a relevant recognised qualification
  • Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card
  • Hope and Healing online Framework Foundations Training
  • Drivers Licence
