Case Manager, Children’s Contact Service Anglicare SA

  • Part – time, fixed term, 45.6hrs per fortnight
  • Contract end date – 30 June 2024
  •  Elizabeth and Gawler location

Anglicare’s Children’s Contact Service provides a safe place for children to have contact with their separated parents. We provide a safe option for Changeover Services, as well as Supervised Contact, which can be either court ordered or self-referred.

We are seeking a professional to provide high quality case management services to separated families who are accessing the Children’s Contact Service, with the aim of increasing their self-management arrangements and limit the reliance on family law services.

What can you expect to be doing?

  •  With the assistance of the Coordinator, identify families that are suitable and would benefit with case management support.
  • Provide counselling and support services to children as appropriate and in accordance with their age and development to ensure they have a voice and are heard by their parents and other relevant services.
  •  Keep abreast of research and evidence based practice working with separated families and the family law system.
  • Use a trauma informed approach and evidence based practice with all child and family interactions.
  • Understand and embed culturally informed processes, that consider situations, activities, decisions, and outcomes from the perspective of each stakeholders cultural background.

What do you need to bring?

  • A relevant tertiary (degree) qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood and/or related Social sciences at degree level, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and skills in intake, screening, assessment, counselling and case management.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the needs of children in family law disputes and the evidence base for interventions in this field.
