About this Role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced case manager to provide client-centered case management for people who have experienced domestic or family violence in Darwin.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Gendered Violence and Family Programs and working in a team of 9, you will be responsible to:

  • Complete comprehensive intake assessments, crisis-intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and holistic support under the YWCA case management, service model and practice frameworks
  • Complete property assessments and facilitate security upgrades to increase safety and security as part of the Keeping Women Safe in their Home program
  • Develop strong and respectful relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and needs
  • Perform a range of administrative activities including comprehensive case notes and reporting in line with funding agreement and legislative requirements

This is a part-time (3 days per week) role through until 30 June 2025.

Ideally the roster would be 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, though there may be flexibility for the right candidate.

About You

Our ideal candidate has demonstrated knowledge of domestic and family violence, criminal justice response, family law and child protection. Additionally, you will have:

  • Experience in direct, culturally appropriate and strength-based client service delivery and case work with women experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic and family violence
  • Qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Social Work or similar
  • Developed communication skilled with an ability to deliver concise and tailored communication
  • Knowledge of the domestic and family violence sector including governance, mandatory reporting, policy and process

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements, including completion of a national criminal history check and a relevant state-based working with children permit.
