ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Case Manager role supports individuals and families in the Jewish Community who may be experiencing multiple or complex needs including family violence, mental health issues, child wellbeing and safety concerns, homelessness and alcohol and drug misuse.
The role, positioned within the Bayside Peninsula Family Services (IFS) Alliance and the Orange Door, has a focus on promoting the healthy functioning of children, young people and families through a range of educational, developmental, social and support services through a culturally sensitive lens.
This role is part-time on a 8-month contract with potential for extension.
In this role, you will contribute to:
- An integrated and collaborative child-centred, family-focused service system response;
- Strengthening families and enhancing the wellbeing of children, young people and their parents/carers;
- Supporting individuals with multiple or complex needs to identify and achieve positive outcomes;
- Promoting client safety, stability and self-determination.
What you need
To ensure your best chance of success, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Youth Work, or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in community services in casework/case management with families or individuals who may have complex needs;
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant DFFH policy and practice frameworks and legislation;
- Effective interpersonal, time management, communication and negotiation skills, including working with clients and their extended families and other stakeholders
- Full Covid-19 vaccination and booster shot or medical exemption
