About the Role:

The Rehabilitation and Reintegration Department at Junee Correctional Centre is seeking to recruit an additional Case Planner.

Case Planners are responsible for assessing sentenced inmates and determining case plan interventions that will meet their individual risks and needs. Case Planners will engage and motivate inmates throughout the case planning and review processes, focusing on goal development and goal progress. Case Planners work collaboratively with all program areas to ensure education, training, and program delivery occurs in line with case plan requirements. They provide case-management training and support to staff including Case Officers, to ensure a joined-up approach to case planning and ongoing case-management.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role (8am – 4pm).

Salary for this position is $82,600 per annum plus superannuation.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in assessment, case planning or case management roles.
  • Ability to make appropriate case plan recommendations based on a range of assessments, utilizing the risk, need, responsivity framework.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills (including assertiveness and negotiation) to ensure relationships are built and maintained with relevant staff and stakeholders to support high quality services and professional practice.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment to achieve shared goals.
  • Proven skills in the use and application of a range of computer software in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to perform work with consistent accuracy (including data entry).
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • To have efficient and effective time management and daily priority realignment ability.
  • Willingness to undertake any training as required for the role. 

Desirable: 

  • Prior experience in case management, social work or a human services industry will be highly regarded.
  • Proficient in the use of CSNSW Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS) database.
  • Training and experience in the Level of Service Inventory – Revised (LSI-R) and/or Alcohol and Other Drug screening.
