The Families and Young People Services Team are currently looking for a Permanent Full-Time Case Worker in our Connected Families Program. This role is an Intensive Family Support Service based in our Ipswich office that supports children, young people and families in the community experiencing multiple and complex needs and at risk of entering or re-entering the child protection system. In this Caseworker role, you will be responsible for providing a range of intensive support services to highly vulnerable families through the delivery of culturally inclusive services and case management to build skills and facilitate sustainable change to become more capable and resilient and improving overall wellbeing.
This position offers a competitive salary of $82,044 to $88,288 plus superannuation (dependent on qualifications and experience). You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits (more information below).
To be eligible for this position you will require:
- Have 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or related discipline.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Child Protection system.
- A clear, expressed understanding of the complex challenges facing families in contemporary society and a sound understanding of risk assessment frameworks.
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- You must hold a current Provisional Green (P2) or Open Drivers Licence.
- You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
