Prace is a not-for-profit organisation providing adult and youth education programs within Melbourne’s northern region. We strive to develop dynamic, responsive and innovative educational programs and learning experiences. We aim to encourage the concept of lifelong learning and recognise the life experiences that all people bring to the organisation. Prace will support and advocate on behalf of the community to ensure equitable access to resources and services that will work to strengthen the capacity of all people to participate fully in work and in their community.
POSITION: Reconnect Case Worker
PROGRAM: Reconnect Program
POSITION SUMMARY
The Reconnect program, funded by the Victorian Government’s Department of Education and Training, provides those aged 17-64 with access to the wrap-around services they need to be able to re-engage and succeed in further education and training. The scheme is designed to support those who are disengaged from education, under-employed, and people looking for work longer than six months, to transition into education or employment. We know that early school leavers in particular often face multiple barriers in remaining in training and transitioning to the workforce, and are at risk of remaining disengaged unless they can access targeted services. It will be the responsibility of the Reconnect Case Worker to support high-needs learners to enter education, training and/or employment.
QUALIFICATION/S OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Tertiary qualifications in the community, employment, welfare and/or education sectors with subsequent relevant experience.
