Cultural Journeyz is expanding, and our Out of Home Care team needs you!

This program works with Aboriginal Children and Young People who require an Out of Home Care placement. The program ensures the Safety, Welfare and Wellbeing of Aboriginal Children and Young People who are placed with Cultural Journeyz.

About the role

This position is Full-time- 38 hours per week and is based in CARDIFF NSW 2285.

The Carer Support Caseworker will provide assist in identifying establishing and supporting placements for Aboriginal Children and Young people in the Hunter Region.

This position  will oversee the monitoring and review of Carers to ensure that placements meets the needs of the Children & Young People.

The Carer Support Caseworker provides information, Education and support to Carers in line with policies and procedures and statutory and legislative requirements. 

You will be working collaboratively with the Cultural Journeyz team to ensure the Case plans goals are being met.

Position Requirements

  • Confirmation of Aboriginality
  • Working with Children Check Clearance
  • National Police Check
  • NSW Drivers License
  • Participate in on-call Roster
  • COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate (minimum 2 doses)

This Position is classed as a Child Related Employment and is subject to relevant Employment Screening.

You must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to apply under section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

Remuneration

A remuneration package will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Homecare and Disability Services Industry Award plus superannuation, leave loading and full salary sacrifice.

Wages can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
