Are you a Psychologist ready for your next challenge? Join a friendly and multidisciplinary team to provide healthcare services on a casual basis based at Villawood, NSW.

The Role

In this role you will be delivering evidence-based psychological services in an Immigration Detention Centre clinic through assessment, case formulation and case management, structured interview techniques and therapeutic interventions. Key responsibilities:

  • Triage referrals; conduct mental health assessments
  • Identify, assess and follow up persons who are at risk
  • Ensure high standards of psychological care within 1-2-1 sessions or in groups
  • Provide clinical reports to internal and external stakeholders

Profile description:

To be considered you must have the following:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
  • A minimum of 3 years post registration experience. Detention or corrections experience highly desirable
  • Proven experience with clinical coordination / case management and risk assessment within the mental health environment
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based focused clinical psychological strategies
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records as well as excel and word programs
