ABOUT THE POSITION:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane is a 149-bed private hospital specialising in boutique medical services for those with chronic, complex, and multiple health needs. From our established inner-city facilities at Kangaroo Point, overlooking the CBD and the Brisbane River, we offer outstanding inpatient and day services across a broad range of medical specialties including rehabilitation; acute medicine; palliative care; interim care and pain management.
Join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane team as a Social Worker as part of our Allied Health Team at our spectacular Kangaroo Point location. This is a casual position and will be pivotal to cover leave periods and increased activity to assist our team and support our patients in their rehabilitation process.

ABOUT YOU:
You are experienced in providing a service which enables patients and their families to deal with the impact and changes in health care. You are also experienced in helping individuals and family’s function through the transition of care.
- 2-5 years Hospital experience, including NDIS and My Aged Care, working as a Social Worker is highly desirable.
- To ensure Social Work referrals are triaged and accessed in a timely manner and support the achievement of care plans.
- To ensure prompt assessment of newly referred patients
- To work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients and their families.
- To manage escalated client issues or complaints appropriately
- Demonstrated commitment to professional excellence.
- Experience in Palliative Care services highly regarded.
