 About the role

TAFE NSW is seeking passionate, qualified and experienced people to join our team of teachers. TAFE NSW has opportunities available across the state to support you in the next step in your career.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

 Your Day to Day

  • Teach students face-to-face in classrooms and online
  • Support students 1:1
  • Issue, mark and provide feedback on assessments
  • Maintain relationships with local industry and employers
  • Stay current with industry practice

 About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • Certificate III in Carpentry, or equivalent (Certificate IV highly regarded)
  • 3-5 years industry experience (5 years highly regarded)
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent or the willingness to complete a TAFE Training and Assessment Scholarship*
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional and technical currency
  • Digital literacy as a micro credential

* If you don’t have a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, but you do have a passion for your industry and the ability to commit to further training, we encourage your application, as you may be eligible for a Teacher Scholarship as an entry point to gain the qualification required for an exciting new career as a Teacher with TAFE NSW
