The role of the CCS Coordinator is to coordinate staff, clinical support and contact arrangements for all parents and children using the Children’s Contact Service (CCS) and assist the Practice Manager, Post Separation Service (PSS), Wagga in delivering a high quality service.

Your new role

In consultation with the PSS Manager and Director – Operations, you will: 

  • Coordinate the Children’s Contact Service, including staffing, clients, stakeholders and weekend operations to deliver a high quality service.
  • Provide CCS case management duties to assist parents to reach agreement on arrangements for children after separation.
  • Ensure that the focus is maintained on the needs of clients at all times, and that systems work well in the principal interests of clients.
  • Recruit, supervise, train and support CCS Officers, providing induction, regular supervision, performance management and appraisal, managing rosters and leave arrangements and professional development for direct reports.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Relevant qualifications in the field of Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant field.
  2. Demonstrated ability in assessment and case-coordination of adults and children.
  3. Ability to demonstrate a broad theoretical approach to counselling, mediation and restorative justice approaches and an understanding of the theoretical and practice frameworks applicable to family violence.
  4. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of crisis intervention models, grief and loss in the context of family separation, child development, and negotiation and conflict management.

This position is a Full-time, ongoing role, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
