Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia, delivering the suite of Lifeline’s services across six geographical regions in both NSW and Victoria. LLD works as a collaborative of local Lifeline Centres sharing administrative and other support services, which not only delivers efficiency in administration, but enables the Centres to work together in areas that were not previously possible. This, all while maintaining a sense of ‘localness’ to operate and serve local communities. LLD encompasses the Hunter Region, Central Coast, New England, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria.

About the Position
LLD has the opportunity for a supportive and professional Centre Support to join our team.
You will be responsible for providing professional supervision and call coaching to the Crisis Support team. Reporting to the Team Leader (Crisis Support) you will actively engage with our employees and volunteers to ensure a structured program of support is in place for group and individual supervision.
As part of a wider LLD services team, you will collaborate and contribute to the provision of best practice, ensuring materials are up to date and access to ongoing training and call coaching is available. Supporting the Team Leader in site administration (such as rostering and accreditation record management) will also be an integral part of the role.
You will ensure the framework of support and learning is in place to ensure our Crisis Support team can undertake their role safely and meet accreditation milestones and the requirements of their role according to Lifeline Australia policies.
About you
You are a people-oriented person who can quickly build rapport and work supportively with a team and individuals. Your ability to display tact, discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters will be integral.
You have relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling or related field and hold current accreditation under a national health, social work or counselling registration board. Ideally, you hold ‘Centre Supervison’ accreditation with Lifeline Australia – or the qualifications and ability to immediately progress to this – so that you can engage in planning and providing the support the team requires.
What the position requires
• A relevant tertiary qualification in health, psychology, social work, or counselling.
• Current accreditation under a national health, social work or counselling registration board such as Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Australian Counselling Association Level 2 or higher, Australian Association of Social Workers, Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (or similar as approved by Lifeline Australia)
• Ability to gain “Centre Supervisor” accreditation from Lifeline Australia.
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of professional and/ or clinical supervision.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work supportively with volunteers and employees.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct reflective practice.
