Child/Adolescent Psychologist, Knox Catalyst Psychology Pty Ltd

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join Our Team

Catalyst Psychology private practice in Melbourne is the right fit for you if you:

  • Are passionate about creating change and engaging in quality psychological therapy with children, adolescents and parents presenting with a range of issues.
  • Want to work with a highly regarded, down to earth, knowledgeable, and supportive team as we continue to grow our practice to meet client demand.
  • Want access to a large range of knowledge, resources, supervision and CPD options.
  • Want reliable referrals and client attendance.
  • Like to work with lovely clients and families.
  • Value skilled admin and practice support.
  • Psychological assessment work is also available.

Catalyst Psychology is a longstanding, esteemed practice working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and adults. The team consists of General, Counselling, Clinical and Ed/Dev Psychologists. We genuinely enjoy working in the practice. Our sites are in Knox and Malvern. After taking on two more great psychologists recently, we still have space for another practitioner at our Knox site.

We are a flexible and supportive team who loves working together and avoids politics. We offer lots of behind-the-scenes assistance, including skilled admin support, onboarding program, and regular supervision. There are plenty of opportunities for CPD and supervision in our practice, and a large selection of resources available.

We currently have a position for part-time, face-to-face therapy work in our Knox site. Both sites service children, adolescents and their parents, with some adult work if wanted.

If this sounds like you, get in contact for a confidential discussion and further details.

Your role will be

  • Providing evidenced-based psychological therapy to children, adolescents and their parents presenting with a range of issues. Clients typically present under Medicare, as well as NDIS and private health.
  • Completing cognitive-educational and developmental assessments of children and adolescents (optional and as training/experience allows).
  • Maintaining electronic client files.
  • Liaising with and coordinating care with other professionals, including GPs, Paediatricians, Allied Health staff and Teachers.
    You will have:
  • Eligibility for Medicare Rebates.
  • Registration with AHPRA (at least General Psychology registration before the end of 2023).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to work freely in Australia.
