What you’ll be doing

  • The Family Recovery worker provides mental health prevention; parenting and Family Focussed Recovery interventions across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
  • Provides clinical consultation and liaison to services regarding issues for children in families affected by mental illness.
  • Builds the capacity of services to provide appropriate family focussed responses and interventions for families
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and programs to parents with a mental illness, with a focus on early intervention and family and carer support.
  • Works with key partners, including families, to support children of parents with a mental illness

Engage in service development and evaluation, staff education and student support and participate in the physical and mental health monitoring of children using District services.
This role is suitable for the following:

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2
  • Social Worker Level 3
  • Occupational Therapist Level 3
  • Senior Psychologist
  • Welfare Officer Level 3
  • Counsellor Level 3
