  • Employment Term: Part-Time (60.8 hours per fortnight), maxim um term contract to June 30th, 2024 
  • Location: Mackay 
  • Remuneration: $93,865 + 11% Super (pro rata) + NFP salary packaging

Your part in our UnitingCare Community team 

We are currently seeking to appoint a Child and Family Case Manager to work as a part of our UnitingCare Family Mental Health Support Service (Minds Alive) based in Mackay on a maximum term part-time basis (60.8 hours per fortnight) to 30 June 2024.

This position provides both intensive long-term outreach support and/or short term assistance for children and their families where the child is affected by or at risk of a mental illness. You will also provide educational workshops and seminars for different key groups, including client groups, to promote better outcomes for children or young people that present with a mental illness and their families. 

What makes a difference for us? 

You will have demonstrated experience working with children, young people and their families using a child cantered and family focused approach.   You will have a sound knowledge and demonstrated ability to use therapeutic processes and practices in relation to children and young people affected by or at risk of a mental illness and, if needed, an ability to participate in flexible work hours. Supplementary to these skills you will hold a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science or Human Services from a recognised tertiary institution, have a current Drivers Licence and a Suitability Card for Child related employment (Blue Card)
