Our new Services team will be opening a Child and Family Centre in Papunya, and we are looking for the right person to deliver day to day operational support to the Manager in conjunction with the local community staff.

The role is one that demands a flexibility of approach, and someone well versed in life on a remote community and the challenges that community members face

There will be a balance between individual case management and community-wide needs as well as working with the CFC Manager to find and get access to services that will be of benefit to the community.

The role will be based in Papunya, with responsibility extending to other local communities.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will ideally have 1 – 3 years’ relevant experience, most likely from a social services background. Case management experience would be a strong plus, although we are happy to train in this.
  • Will have, or will quickly gain, a good understanding of local decision making.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Must have lived and worked in a remote community OR has a good understanding of working in remote communities.
  • Understands that relationship building is at the heart of the role.
  • Can create an overall picture from a limited data set.
