MAX Solutions, Child and Family Services program is looking for professionals with a degree in social work, psychology, or other related qualifications acceptable to apply for this position. In addition, to join our team of assessors you will have accreditation in Step by Step 2020 model.
The opportunity
These roles are as work demands and well suited to work in with your business, other part time work or an addition to your current contracting services. An induction, ongoing professional development and support will also be provided.
About you
- Degree level qualifications in Social Work (with eligibility to AASW) or degree level qualifications in psychology (NOTE: Candidates with other related tertiary level qualifications may be considered with relevant experience as outlined below.
- SBS Accreditation 2020
- Ideally 3 years of experience conducting complex, trauma informed assessments of children living in OoHC or under CP orders
- A sound understanding of the various legislation and standards, best practice and current research regarding trauma informed assessments
- Strong assessment skills (critical thinking, gathering / analysing / synthesising information)
- Strong face-to-face interviewing skills
- Strong report writing skills (quality and efficiency)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with indigenous and CALD communities is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of the Child Safety Principles and commitment to child safety and wellbeing, including having an understanding of children’s developmental needs and culturally safe practices
