The Child & Youth Mental health Service are seeking a motivated clinician to work with the Outreach Service for Children & Adolescents (OSCA). The work involves providing recovery, trauma and family based interventions for young people who are experiencing serious mental health problems and who require more intensive and regular contact to support their needs in a community setting.

Where you’ll be working
The OSCA team provide a district wide service, with this position being predominantly based at Royal North Shore Hospital. However, there will be need for flexibility to work across different sites at times including Hornsby Hospital.
What you’ll be doing
Provide assertive and intensive family focused intervention and short term care coordination including comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting and care planning, intervention and evaluation of care for children, young people and their families who are experiencing acute and complex mental health problems.
Work in collaboration with CYMHS OSCA team members in developing and supporting best clinical practices that are associated with assertive outreach services and optimal outcomes for young people and families.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Recognised Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA or membership to AASW. Social Workers and Occupational Therapists require minimum experience at Level 2. Clinical Psychologists require master’s degree. .Registered Nurse with post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in working systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families and their system of care and support, including individual and family intervention.
- Demonstrated capacity for multi-disciplinary teamwork and capacity to contribute to team learning and development including support for students.
- Computer literacy and demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound administrative methods.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
