Child Mental Health Clinician – January start date CC Medical

JOB DESCRIPTION

 
 

  • January start date for 3 months + possible extension
  • Travel and accommodation provided
  • $103,608 – $114,431 + super

 
Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist required for a three month contract in Burnie or Devonport. The role is to start in January. The position would be full time, working 38 hours a week. Day work only.
 
The service is a community based mental health service providing intake, assessment and treatment for children and young people (0-18years) and their families who are experiencing acute mental illness, including suicidal distress, early psychosis, eating disorders.  There may be some work within a hospital (i.e. seeing children and young people on a ward where there are mental health concerns) and some home visits may be required.  CAMHS operates as an MDT, with allied health, nurses, and medical officers as part of the team. They are a community based clinical service, predominately allied health (small team of about 7 clinicians).
 

  • Accommodation assistance available and return flights covered
  • Minimum of two years experience in child and adolescent mental health or a relevant/related field required
