Remuneration: $37.70 – $56.54 dependent on qualifications

Clarence Community Health is pursuing a Psychologist or Social Worker to join their professional team. This role is based in Clarence with outreach to the Clarence and Richmond areas. The successful applicant will provide high quality clinical services and leadership as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District. As part of the Integrated Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (IPARVAN) Service, Child Protection Counsellors provide a tertiary counselling service to children, young people and families where child abuse and domestic violence has occurred.  
 

If you have/are:

  • Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Social Work and eligible for membership of The Australian Social Work Association OR Degree in Psychology with full registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencing
  • Understanding of developmental or complex trauma, the dynamics of child abuse and neglect and the impact of maltreatment upon children, young people and their families
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and ability to apply professional judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks within the scope of practice of the position
  • Ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care and effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload and demonstrated ability to supervise professional, technical and support staff
